Document it

Document it is a tool for recording and managing citations, which enables students to learn the rules of correct referencing. It is a passive application that runs within Microsoft® Word® and helps students to record the correct information following conventional citation standards. The tool prompts the user to enter the necessary information which is then laid out automatically on the page according to citation standards. Once a citation has been entered it is available for insertion into the text of a document in a number of formats - in-text citation e.g. (Smith, 2005), as a footnote, as an endnote or as part of a bibliography or reference list. Document it is based on the Harvard System of Referencing.
