What to do if information is missing

Unknown Edition

If a book does not have an edition number then it is probably the first edition in which case you can leave this field empty. If it is a later addition that information can usually be found on the back of the title page. In the field put the edition number in its ordinal form, e.g. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.

An example is:

Laurillard, D. (2002) Rethinking university teaching: a framework for the effective use of educational technology. 2nd edn. London: Routledge.
