[ Looking for v4.0.1 help?]Document it 3.0.2 - Help TopicsWhat to do if information is missingUnknown Issue InformationFor more information on the above see 'Cite Them Right' Issue Information Issue information usually refers to either Volume number, Issue, Part Number, Month, Season or Year of Publication Most journals, whether in paper or electronic format, have a volume number and issue number. The volume and issue numbers can be found on the spine of paper versions. If you have accessed the article online, the route you have taken to get into the article will identify both volume and issue numbers and, what's more, they usually appear at the top or the foot of each page. In this field put the volume number first followed by the issue number in brackets. For example, an article appearing in volume 36, issue 4 would appear as below: Bell, M. & Bell, W.D. (2005) "It's installed" now get on with it! Looking beyond the software to the cultural change, British Journal of Educational Technology, 36(4), pp. 643-656. For newspaper articles you should put the day and month in this field, e.g. 12 September. For example: Schofield, J. (2005) 'Progress Reports', The Guardian 1 September, pp. 16-17. |
